Jordanelle State Park

Three Rocks Trail

The Three Rocks Nature Trail at Jordanelle State Park was designed to help educate and assist visitors to become more knowledgeable of the lower montane/riparian communities.

The Trail was established in June of 1999, with the help of members from the Park City High School Internship program, the State of Utah, the US Forest Service, and the Bureau of Reclamation. In the summer of 2024, the trail was restored as part of a Troop 72 Eagle Scout project.

Hiking the Three Rocks Trail will allow visitors to experience and view the types of animals and plants that make up the environment of the Provo River and Jordanelle dam area. This trail will enable you to receive great views of the east end of Jordanelle Reservoir, and the dense riparian canopy of the Provo River that covers the Nature Center.

We hope this trail serves not only as a valuable educational resource, but also a pleasurable recreation site.
