Welcome to Deer Creek State Park

Windsurf, boat, zip line, swim and fish on the cool waters of Deer Creek Reservoir.  After a day on the water, camp under the night sky at one of several campgrounds, all with spectacular views of nearby Mount Timpanogos.

Sailboat Beach Launch is closed due to low water. Please plan accordingly.

DOG INFORMATION: 

Deer Creek State Park is a watershed, thus DOGS ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN THE CAMPGROUND WITH REGISTERED CAMPERS. Dogs are not allowed in the Day Use areas nor are they allowed on boats.

Life jackets are required for each person on a vessel – including kayaks and stand up paddle boards.  Cold water boating conditions exist, wear your lifejacket!

Any boat coming from out of state or Lake Powell must still be inspected and decontaminated before launching into Deer Creek.  Please remember to continue to complete, sign and display an Aquatic Invasive Species Certification Form before launching.

CAMPING INFORMATION: 

Great Horned Owl Campground closes for the season on October 16th. Chokecherry Campground is walk-in only from Oct. 16 – Oct. 31, 2020. Chokecherry Campground closes for the season on Nov. 1, 2020.

AIS Decontamination Schedule:

Decontamination schedule is from 9 am to 7 pm, Saturday & Sunday;  Monday through Friday by appointment only from 3 pm – 7 pm through October 15th, 2020. Call 435-654-0171 to verify staffing hours and availability.
