• Pack out all food scraps: Items like fruit peels and nutshells take years to decompose in desert climates and attract wildlife to high-traffic areas.
• Manage pet and human waste: Bring waste bags for pets and dispose of them in designated receptacles. In backcountry areas lacking restrooms, carry a trowel or pack-out waste bag.
