Digital Day-Use Pass
Heading out for a day trip? Pay online ahead of time to breeze through the entrance, or simply pay in person when you arrive.
- Coverage: Standard single-day entry for 1 private vehicle and its occupants (up to eight people)
- Pass Validity: Valid exclusively on the calendar date of purchase
How to Buy:
- Online: Get instant, paperless gate entry on any device at parkspass.utah.gov
- At the Gate: Pay with cash or card upon arrival at the park entrance station or self-pay kiosk
Important Notes: Day-use passes do not cover overnight camping fees or offer camping discounts. Purchasing online does not hold a reservation or guarantee entry if a park reaches maximum capacity.
2026 Annual Day-Use Pass
Twelve full months of unlimited outdoor memories.
If you visit Utah’s state parks more than a few times a year, an Annual Pass offers incredible value. One pass covers day-use entrance for the cardholder and up to seven guests traveling together in the same private vehicle.
Pass Details:
- Standard Annual Pass: $125
- Senior Annual Pass (Ages 65+): $65
- Driver+ up to 7 passengers in one vehicle for 12 months from purchase date
- Available exclusively to Utah residents

- Staffed Utah State Park visitor centers statewide
- Eastern and Southwest Regional Offices
- Utah DNR Bookstore in Salt Lake City

Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) offices.
The Annual Day-Use Pass does not grant access to Jordan River OHV State Park or This is the Place Heritage Park. Additionally, it does not cover the $2 causeway fee for Antelope Island State Park. Camping access and camping discounts are not included with the purchase of this pass. Purchasing the pass does not guarantee entry if a park is temporarily closed due to reaching its capacity.
Veterans with Disabilities Honor Pass
To express our gratitude for your service, eligible Utah veterans receive free day-use admission to state parks across the state. Passes cover the veteran and up to seven guests traveling in the same vehicle.
- FREE for qualified veterans
- Must be a Utah resident, honorably discharged from military service, and have a documented service-connected disability.
Program Status & Current Guidelines:
*The Honor Pass system is currently undergoing digital upgrades. Access remains fully active:
- 2025 Pass Holders: Your 2025 pass remains fully accepted at all state parks until system updates are finalized.
- New Applicants: Simply present your VA documentation at the park gate or a participating office for immediate free entry.
Veterans meeting this requirement will need to provide a current Summary of Benefits letter issued by the Department of Veteran Affairs in order to obtain the Honor Pass at select locations across Utah.
Utah State Parks App
Visitors to Utah State Parks can now register their annual pass online. Downloading the new Utah State Parks mobile app now allows visitors to have a digital copy of their annual pass on their smartphone.
This removes the need to have a physical annual pass with you. Instead, all you need is a smartphone with the Utah State Parks mobile app and you’re good to go!
Registering an annual pass online through the app does not cost any additional money and allows Utah State Parks staff to better monitor which passes are valid and which have expired. The digital annual pass also allows for the same two signatures and up to three license plates. This information mirrors that which is typically filled out on the fee envelopes at park entrance stations and allows visitors to more easily access the park.
Digital annual passes, along with physical annual passes, will now be scanned upon entry to the park to better account for how many users are currently utilizing a pass.
In the future, Utah State Parks plans to improve the app to allow for access to trail maps, reservations, and much more. The app is available for download on both the iOS (Apple) and Android (Google Play) app stores.
