A fishing license is not required this day, however, all other regulations apply.

June 11, 2022 – Jordanelle Triathlon @ Rock Cliff

It’s not every day that you can say you raced one of Triathlete Magazine’s Top 100 events in the Nation! The Jordanelle Triathlon is a classic.  It’s one of Utah’s premier race venues, with some of the clearest open water, scenic bike courses, and a run course unlike any other event around. You’ll enjoy everything from the river bottom boardwalks in Rock Cliff Recreation Area to the local country backdrop of Francis and Woodland. This race is guaranteed to remind you of why you love the outdoors.  If you haven’t raced Jordanelle Triathlon in a while, this is definitely the year to come and say “Hi” to an old friend. Jordanelle has also hosted numerous USA Triathlon regional championships, so you know you’ll be getting a competitive course with a storied history!

June 18, 2022 – Valkyrie Multi-Sport Relay @ Ross Creek and Rock Cliff

The Valkyrie Relay™ is Utah’s only multisport relay race, spanning nearly 100 miles of Utah’s spectacular ‘Wasatch Back’ mountain range. The event pits teams of up to 9 specialized competitors against each other, racing against the clock, and exchanging between trail running, kayak/canoe paddling, marathon, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, open water swimming, and road cycling. Race day consists of four events: FullSprintMarathon, and Half—everything culminating with an all-day Expo (Endurance Sports Summit) at the finish line. Rock Cliff will be closed to the public on Saturday, June 18th from 5 AM – 11 AM for this private event.  

July 7, 2022  – County Cooperative Weed Spray Day @ Rock Cliff and Perimeter Trail

Wasatch County, park personnel, and volunteers will be spraying noxious weeds along the Perimeter Trail and around Rock Cliff and Ross Creek.  Spraying will start around 7 AM and will end later in the day as weather and wind allow.  If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact the park.  Dedicated Hunters may also earn volunteer hours.  Contact your DWR Dedicated Hunter coordinator.

August 13, 2022 – Military Appreciation Day 

Free day-use entry for all current and retired military.  Simply show your military ID at the gate. 

August 14, 2022 – Kayak Fishing Bass Tournament @ Ross Creek

Come test your skill at this multi-park fishing tournament. Small fishing tournament of 15-30 kayaks. The impact should be minimal.  Access will not be impacted.

September 10 & 11, 2022 – Park City Sailing Fall Regatta

Park City Sailing Association will be holding its annual fall Sailing Regatta at the PWC Ramp. The PWC Ramp will be closed to the public for this private event. 

September 11, 2022 – Patriot Day 

Free day use for all military (current and retired), law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and emergency responders.  Simply show your ID at the gate.

September 17, 2022 – Salt City Bass Club Tournament @ Hailstone

Small fishing tournament of 15-30 boats.  The impact should be minimal.  Access will not be impacted.

September 17 – Park City Rowing Academy Fall Regatta

Park City Rowing academy will be holding its annual fall Rowing Regatta at the PWC Ramp. The PWC Ramp will be closed to the public for this private event.

November 11, 2022 – Veteran’s Day

Free day use for all Veteran’s. Simply show your ID at the gate.

November 12, 2022 – Volunteer Day @ Rock Cliff

Come meet the team at Wasatch Mountain Institute and help us clean up our beautiful campus at the Rock Cliff area of Jordanelle State Park before the snow flies! We will be gathering dead branches, picking up trash, trimming willow along the boardwalk, chopping thistle & more.
Long sleeves & pants recommended! Bring water, snacks & your own work gloves if you have them.

November 25, 2022 – Holiday Lights Wagon Rides

Come enjoy being pulled through a Holiday light show by a team of Percheron draft horses! If you’re looking for Christmas time goodies, s’mores, hot chocolate, and cider will be available for purchase. The ride itself is approx. 20 minutes long (some teams of horses walk a little faster or a little slower). This is suitable for all ages. Kids 2 and younger are free. For tickets Click Here.
