GATES ARE CLOSED: Pine Canyon closed on 11/26/2025 and Cascade Springs closed on 11/26/2025 .
TRAILS UPDATES:
- TRAIL CONDITIONS. Expect COLD and Ice and Snow.
- Cross Country Grooming: (12/9/2025) The lake course snow has melted. There is snow in the shade but not in the sun. The mountain course is snow covered but only has 2-6 inches of snow on it. We do not plan to groom until we have more snow. Next forecasted snow chance is possibly the 20th of December.
CAMPING UPDATES:
- Water was shut off on November 1st, 2025.
- Dry camping in the winter is allowed in the Soldier Hollow Loops. Winter rates are $25 for an RV and $20 for a tent. Please bring your own facilities as restrooms are not open.
EVENTS:
- Midway to Santa is a horsedrawn wagon ride through the campground where you will see holiday lights. Visit rockymountainoutfitters.com for tickets.
- Snowmobile rides will begin around December 15th. Visit wasatchexcursions.com for tickets.
OHV Trails are open until Snow Grooming begins. Once the groomer has been on the trail only light weight machines and snowmobiles are allowed on the groomed roads. No Jeeps or Trucks. Please respect the privilege to ride and stay on the trail.
Cascade Springs Road – CLOSD

Snake Creek Canyon – OPEN until snowmobile grooming begins. One the trail is groomed it is for over the snow use only.

Little Deer Creek Campground: No Water in the winter.
Accessible from Cascade Spring road, by ATV from trail 2 or from Snake Creek
(4×4 high clearance). Primitive campground accessed over a dirt road. There is no sewer or power. One restroom building has running water (June thru September) while the other is a vault toilet. The road leading to the campground is a dirt road.

- Camping reservations can be made by calling 1-800-322-3770 or https://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/wasatch-mountain/ 16 weeks in advance.
- Cabins are open year round. Please call the above number to make a reservation.
- You must have a special use permit if you are doing photography in the park. Please call the park visitor center for more information. 435-654-1791
Day-Use Fees remain in effect year round. Please make sure to display a valid Day-Use tag or Annual State Park Pass.
- Non Senior – $10/car up to 8 people
- Senior (65+) – $5/car up to 8 people
Individuals recreating in the park must have either a valid Annual State Parks Pass or Day-Use tag visible. Failure to do so may result in a citation. If you need to pay by credit card, you may stop by the visitor center or visit parkspass.utah.gov. Be sure to select Wasatch Mountain State Park when using Parks Pass.
