Volunteering

We need you! Antelope Island offers multiple volunteer opportunities to help make a meaningful impact while connecting people to the park’s natural and cultural resources.

Volunteers serve as ambassadors for the park and State of Utah, helping protect its resources while enhancing visitor experiences through education, interpretation, stewardship, and service. Whether welcoming visitors at the Visitor & Education Center, interpreting history at Fielding Garr Ranch, engaging with visitors on trails and roadways, or assisting with special events and designated projects, volunteers play a vital role in the daily operation and long-term success of Antelope Island State Park.

Antelope Island offers a variety of volunteer programs and opportunities that are designed to match individual interests, skills, and availability. Find the program that fits you best.

  • Park Volunteer: Requires a minimum of 6hrs/month
  • Group Volunteer Projects: Requires minimum of 2hrs/planned project
  • Campground Host Program: Requires minimum of 20hrs/week
  • Court Ordered Community Service Work: Must be non-violent offenses
  • Trail Crew Program: Maintain park trails with designated meet-ups & projects as scheduled

Adopt-A-Park Program:

Our Adopt-A-Park program allows an individual, family or group to help preserve and maintain Antelope Island State Park. There are several trails within the park available for adoption, including Buffalo Point, Ladyfinger Point, Mountain View, and more. Your efforts help keep the park clean and safe for all to enjoy. In return, we’ll post a sign recognizing your efforts.

Requirements: One-year commitment with a minimum of one project per quarter (four total).
