Birds of Prey

Since Rock Cliff offers a variety of living habitats for birds, with the densely forested canopy along the Provo River, to the steep cliffs surrounding it, it offers good living conditions for different sorts of hawks and eagles. One includes the Bald Eagle, which generally migrate through the area in late fall to midwinter. Another common raptor is the Red-tailed Hawk, which can easily be seen between spring and fall. Other birds of prey that are common throughout different times of the year are the American Kestrel, Turkey Vulture, and the Osprey.
