Park Planning

Plans open for public comment:
    None at this time.

Utah State Parks and Recreation is working to protect your state park system today and for future generations.

With the help of park users and community members, the planning section develops resource management plans for each park and strategic plans for the Division and its programs. Resource management planning helps to protect and interpret each park's natural and cultural resources, ensure safe and enjoyable experiences, provide for new visitor opportunities, and develop and enhance facilities. These plans guide Division and park managers in their stewardship responsibilities.

The planning section is also the Division's research arm. The section provides information about recreation and social trends, economic impacts of the Division and individual parks, and also conducts surveys of park visitors and Utah residents for planning efforts.

We invite you to attend public meetings, voice comment on plans, and be involved in the future of Utah's state parks.
