East Canyon State Park
East Canyon State Park is a 680-acre boating and year-round fishing delight nestled in the mountains northeast of Salt Lake City. Although popular with water recreationists, East Canyon is also an attraction for history buffs. Nearby trails mark the steps of the Donner Party and the first Mormon settlers.
Park Hours: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round with no holiday closures.
Day Visits:
Covers use of watercraft launches and day-use facilities.
$9 One Day-Use Pass
$75 annual pass available at the East Canyon State Park Office
Overnight Camping:
Big Rock: - closed for renovation
Dixie Creek: $20 - $25
Yurt: $60
Rivers Edge: Group Camping - closed for renovation
Large Spring: Group Camping $50, plus reservation fee
Mormon Flat: Group Camping $75, plus reservation fee
Location: East Canyon State Park is located 12 miles south of Morgan.
