East Canyon State Park

   East Canyon State Park is a 680-acre boating and year-round fishing delight nestled in the mountains northeast of Salt Lake City. Although popular with water recreationists, East Canyon is also an attraction for history buffs. Nearby trails mark the steps of the Donner Party and the first Mormon settlers.

Park Hours:
   6 a.m. to 10 p.m.  year-round 
Holiday Closures: none

Day Visits:
   $9 Day-Use Pass includes use of watercraft launches
   $75 annual pass available at the park

Overnight Camping:
   Dixie Creek Campground: $20 (water, electric hookups)
                                     or $25 (full hookups)
   Yurts: $60 (security deposit required)
                  (sorry no pets in/around yurts)
   Big Rock Campground: closed for renovation

Group Day Use:
   Bauchman Group Pavilion: $100 flat rate (50 people max - 8 vehicles max)
   Pratt Group Pavilion: $175 flat rate (75 people max - 8 vehicles max)

Group Overnight Camping:
   Rivers Edge Group Campground: closed for renovation $200 flat rate (100 people max)
   Large Spring Group Campground: $50 flat rate (25 people max - 20 vehicles max) (pack-in/pack-out)
   Mormon Flat Group Campground: $75 flat rate (100 people max - 20 vehicles max) (pack-in/pack-out)
