Volunteer & Seasonal Employment

We hire multiple seasonal Park Ranger Aide positions each year that include free housing onsite. These positions assist with all park management including visitor center and gift shop operations, maintenance, cleaning, educational programs and emergency response. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door for a park ranger or natural resource career!

Now recruiting for 2025 seasonal Park Ranger Aide positions! These positions will start in February or March and work for 6-9 months.

Season Park Ranger Aide, $15/ hour

Includes free park housing and utilities. A pet may be allowed.

Duties: clean and maintain park facilities; staff visitor center and gift shop; provide exceptional customer service; patrol park areas and ensure rule compliance; complete field projects; provide educational programs; assist with medical and search and rescue incidents.

These positions do not provide benefits.

Experience: experience working in a park or outdoor recreational setting or college coursework in a related field; first aid/rescue training, experience with retail and cash handling, experience with educational programming or experience with outdoor maintenance work are preferred skills.

Camp Host

We are looking for one or more volunteer camp hosts to work 20-30 hours per week for the 2025 season. RV water and sewer hookups available. Electrical hookups are not available. If interested, email asprafke@utah.gov for more information.
