Goblin Valley State Park

Current Conditions

Last Updated: March 29, 2026

Day-Use: Park is open daily. Bathrooms at the Observation Point are open.

Heat advisory: expect hot and sunny conditions with temperatures in the 90’s and 100’s. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are daily risks. Hike early in the day, bring plenty of water (at least 32 ounces per person per hour), know your route and your limitations, bring salty snacks or electrolytes, and wear lite clothing and sun protection.

Winter advisory:

Trails: Valley of the Goblins, hiking trails and mountain bike trails are open for use. Nearby canyons may have standing water in some areas. Please check weather forecasts daily to avoid flash flood danger; weather is posted daily at the park visitor center and staff can provide updates on conditions.

Please do not use the mountain bike trails when muddy conditions exist.

Campground: Open. The dump and fill station is open year-round. There is a $15 additional fee for this facility if you do not have a camping pass.

Primitive Camping: multiple areas are available throughout the park. Campers must use already established sites that are clear of vegetation and have a fire ring. Many sites are marked with numbers and tent symbols. Please visit our Primitive Camping page under Facilities for more information.

Showers: Open

Visitor Center: Open 9am-5pm. Hours may vary due to staffing or emergencies. Visitor center will be closed on March 30, 2026 for staff training.

Busy Season: the park is very busy during spring and fall. Weekends can reach capacity and a wait may be required to enter the park. We advise arriving early or later afternoon to avoid the line.
