Winter is approaching at Wasatch Mountain State Park!
- Campgrounds are closed with the exception of the two cabins.
- Hiking and Biking Trails are wet/snowy/icy. Please travel responsibly.
Notices:
- Notice: The Soldier Hollow Loop and The Chalet Loop at Soldier Hollow are located at Soldier Hollow. It is six miles away from the traditional camping area in the Pine Creek Campground.
- Notice: Water is off to the entire Campground. Bring your own water. The restroom by the cabins will remain open throughout the winter.
Soldier Hollow Loops :
- Soldier Hollow Loop: CLOSED
- Chalet Loop: CLOSED
Sites in the Soldier Hollow Loops are Full-Hookup and $60 per night.
Pine Creek Campground:
- Cottonwood Loop: CLOSED
- Mahogany Loop: CLOSD
- Oak Hollow Loop: CLOSED
Full hookup sites in the Pine Creek Campground cost $50. Partial Hook-up sites cost $45. Tent only sites are $40.
Cabins:
Our cabin rentals remain available through the winter season and reservations can be made online or over the phone with Reserve America. Cabin rentals are also on a 4-month reservation window. Our group use areas are able to be reserved 11 months in advance. Book a cabin here!
Cottage:
The cottage is ideal for two adults. On the main level we have a queen bed, small table, couch, shower, toilet, heating/AC units, kitchen with fridge, microwave and basic dishes for four. The loft has about four feet of headspace and would be good for kids to sleep as we have two mattresses on the floor. The loft ladder is not ADA compliant. Bedding and linens not included. - Camping Reservations are available 16 weeks in advance and are limited to a 14-day stay in a 30-day time frame. Reserve your spot online or call the reservation office at 800-322-3770.
- Pine Canyon, Tibble Fork, and Snake Creek roads are open. Alpine Loop and Guardsmans Pass will close November 1, 2024.
- Non- Senior – $10/car up to 8 people
- Senior (65+) – $5/car up to 8 people
- If you need to pay by credit card please visit parkspass.utah.gov and select Wasatch Mountain State Park. Or stop at the visitor center to pay the fee
Welcome to Wasatch Mountain State Park
Enjoy Wasatch Mountain State Park year-round. Camp in the Pine Creek Campground, reserve a tee time at one of the four popular 18-hole golf courses or hike, bike, ATV or horseback ride on miles of mountain trails. In winter months, ski, snowshoe or snowmobile through the alpine terrain.

The Friends of Wasatch Mountain State Park (The Friends) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. The Friends works with the Park staff to agree on projects and events that need funding contributions and are win-win for the Park, our community, and visitors. The Friends raises funds through memberships/sponsorships, donations, and fundraising events.
The Friends of Wasatch Mountain State Park Mission is to preserve and protect the historical and ecological integrity of Wasatch Mountain State Park and to promote the development of responsible recreational oppportunities and facilities for present and future generations.
Joining The Friends is a great way to meet a community of like-minded residents who enjoy recreating in the Park, using the Park’s facilities and want the Park to thrive. The Park is a 23,000 acre preserve of recreational opportunities and facilities, and it takes more than state funding for the Park to continue as a Heber Valley gem for generations to come.
