Park Fees

Primitive Camping Information

Primitive camping is available during construction of new state park facilities. Camping access to primitive camping sites is accessible via the new state park entrance from Highway 191. Dalton Wells and Willow Springs roads are accessed using this new entrance and connector roads. Follow signage within the state park for directions to these roads. Camp only in disturbed areas with existing fire pits (do not create new fire pits).

Camping Fee:

  • $15 per vehicle, per night (required year-round)

Your park fees help care for, protect and enhance the park.


Camping

  • Each camping fee covers one vehicle and attached recreational equipment per night.
  • Camp only in areas with existing fire pits.
  • Do not create new campsites; if all are full, find another area to camp. Creating new campsites can result in a citation.

Fires

  • Fires are only allowed in existing fire pits.
  • Do not leave fires unattended.
  • Fire restrictions may apply.
  • Fireworks are prohibited.
  • Collecting firewood within the park is not allowed.

Trails

  • Stay on marked trails/roads; cross-country travel is not allowed.
  • Be respectful of other users.

Wastewater

  • It is illegal to dump wastewater from campers or trailers onto the ground.
  • Portable and pit toilets are available near most camping areas.

Emergency

  • In case of an accident, dial 911.

Special Use Permits

  • A Special Use Permit is required for all special events, commercial/professional filming, photography, and any commercial activity within the park (e.g., tours, rentals).
