Beaver Detectives: A Winter Walk

WMI & Utah State join forces to locate the majestic beaver! Starting at our Nature Center, we’ll take a guided walk along the river as we search for signs of recent activity. Walk will be along the boardwalk with opportunities to go off-trail near the river.

Join the Kimball Art Center and Wasatch Mountain Institute for an evening of stargazing and guided sketching at Jordanelle Reservoir! Observe constellations, planets, and deep-sky objects with telescopes under Utah’s dark skies, timed with a slim crescent moon.
Inspired by the historical “Harvard Computers” and the art of Erika Blumenfeld, you’ll create your own star maps and personal “light maps” that are both scientific and imaginative. Families are welcome to make their own constellations and art from guided observations.
