International Dark Sky Week

Join Jordanelle State Park and other Dark Sky partners in a week-long celebration of our night sky. Stop by the Rock Cliff Nature Center to pick up your Utah Dark Sky Passportand start exploring!

Junior Ranger: Nocturnal Investigations

Calling all Junior Rangers! Join us at the Nature Center at Rock Cliff to explore our nocturnal environment. We’ll investigate the wetlands and discover clues to what calls this area home.
This activity is designed for youth, ages 4-12, but kids of all ages are welcome to join. This is a family and leashed-dog-friendly activity. There is no additional cost – regular park entry fees apply. Questions? Contact tackley@utah.gov

Know Your Place

Join us at the Nature Center at Rock Cliff for a naked-eye tour of our April night sky. This is an outdoor activity – please dress accordingly. Insect repellent and layers are recommended. Families and leashed dogs are welcome.

Join us at the Rock Cliff Nature Center for an evening of stargazing and meteor hunting. Be sure to bring a chair, layers for the weather, and insect repellent. Red light headlamps are recommended.

Fish It Forward

Sand Pavilion

Join Mountain West Muskie Chapter 65, for Fish It Forward! A unique event where angler and angling organizations of all kinds come together at the Sand Pavilion at Jordanelle Reservoir! Come see all the different types of anglers, see on the water bait demos, and learn. We’ll have keynote speakers, including DWR biologists, presenting the Jordanelle Management Plan! We are excited to see you there!
