Planning And Development
The Utah Division of State Parks is constantly working to improve and protect the state park system today and for future generations. With the help of park users and community members, the Division develops management plans for each park and strategic plans for the Division and its programs.
Resource management planning helps to protect and interpret each park’s natural and cultural resources, ensure safe and enjoyable experiences, provide new visitor opportunities, and develop and enhance facilities. These plans guide Division and park managers in their stewardship responsibilities.
This also provides information about recreation and social trends, economic impacts of the Division and individual parks, and also conducts surveys of park visitors and Utah residents for planning efforts.
We invite you to attend public open houses, share suggestions on plans, and be involved in the future of Utah’s state parks
