Easter Weekend Brings Visitation Surge to Snow Canyon; Traffic Delays Expected

Easter weekend (March 29-March 31, 2024) is one of the busiest weekends of the year at Snow Canyon State Park, with most visitors arriving mid-morning Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Peak visitation times are between 10:30a.m. and 4:30p.m. both days.  Preparations are being made to implement traffic control at both park entrances to ensure visitor and resource safety. Visitors should be prepared for long entrance lines and limited parking.  Once all parking areas are full, entry to the park will not be permitted for periods ranging from one to two-hours.

Visitors are strongly encouraged to arrive at non-peak times occurring from 6 to 10:30a.m. or 4 to 10p.m.  Visitors should also consider carpooling; visiting on alternative dates; and have alternate plans in the event of a park closure.
