Military Appreciation Day in Snow Canyon State Park

Santa Clara Scout Troop #1882 brings Military Appreciation Day to life in Snow Canyon State Park.  In recognition of veterans and our military, Saturday, August 13th marks the second annual Utah State Parks Military Appreciation Day (MAD).  In honor of this day, Snow Canyon State Park is offering free entry to all current and retired military personnel.

In celebration of this statewide event, a lively flag presentation made possible by Santa Clara Scout Troop #1882 and the coordinating efforts of Mr. Peter Hansen, will be on display for military families and other park visitors to enjoy.  The scout troop plans to line the park’s south entrance in a show of appreciation for all veterans arriving to the park that day.

Utah State Parks Military Appreciation Day is marked each year for the second Saturday of August.  For more information, contact Utah State Parks and Recreation at (801) 538-7220 or
