Winterization closures:

The campgrounds, South Jetty Restroom, and Center Lawn Restroom have all been winterized and closed for the season. The restrooms in the Visitor Center will remain open while the Visitor Center is staffed. If the Visitor Center is closed, the CXT pit toilet on the North boat ramps will remain open through the winter.

Temporary Closures:

  • The Center Lawn area is currently closed as some new facilities are added to the park.

Park Access and Fees

Day Use: Open year-round

Launch Ramps:

  • All ramps are open.
  • Note: The South Ramp is the shallowest.

Campground:

  • Open for camping April 1 – October 31.

Entrance Fees:

  • Fees apply year-round. Please use the fee envelopes and the iron ranger, or our credit card machine. Both are located in the far right lane as you enter the park. Failure to comply may result in a citation.

Day Use Fees:

Summer (April – October):

  • $20 per vehicle
  • $10 per vehicle for Utah seniors 65 & older
  • $5 per person walk-in

Winter (November – March):

  • $10 per vehicle
  • $5 per person walk-in

Restrooms:

  • Visitor Center restrooms and the CXT on the North Jetty will remain open year-round.

Lakeshore Campground

  • Reservations: Reservations can be made up to 4 months prior to your first night’s stay. Reservations can be made by visiting ReserveAmerica.com or by calling 1-800-322-3770.  The last night of occupancy for the 2021 season will be October 31.  
  • Camping Fees: $50.00 per night (Includes 1 camper/RV and vehicle that towed it. Pulled behind the vehicle is considered part of the RV.)
  • Extra Vehicle Fee: $40.00 per vehicle per night. Limit 1 Extra Vehicle per site. Vehicle must be able to fit on pavement inside the campsite.

Refunds are not given for bugs, weather, or early departures.


Boat Slips (Last Day of Season November 16, 2024)

Prior Year Renters are able to purchase the same slip they had last year until February 29, 2024. On March 1, 2024 all remaining slips will be available on a first come first serve basis.


Utah Lake


Quagga Decontamination Station (Last day for season will be October 26)

Decontamination Station Hours:

  • Open daily from 08:00 AM – 07:00 PM (Must arrive prior to 6:30).
  • Note: Two people are required for a decontamination.

Boating/Sailing Decontamination Requirements:

  • Self-Decontamination: If you have visited Lake Powell or any body of water outside of the state, you must self-decontaminate for Aquatic Invasive Species/Mussels.
    • Drying Times:
      • Winter: 30 days
      • Spring/Fall: 18 days
      • Summer: 7 days
    • For complex boats (e.g., those with ballast tanks, inboard/outboard motors with unverified water):
      • Dry for 30 days or get professionally decontaminated.
  • Professional Decontamination: If you cannot meet the minimum dry times, you may come to the park for a free professional decontamination.

Drones

Due to the flight path of air traffic from Provo Airport. NO DRONES of any kind may be flown within Utah Lake State Park or surrounding Airport Dike Road.  


Insects

Insects: During warm months, insects are present and emerge at different times.

  • Midges currently active are non-biting flies that form columns along the roadways mid-spring through early fall. These are what cover your windshield while driving through the park.
  • Mosquitoes currently active are present from mid- spring through early fall. Insect repellent is effective.

Monthly Motor Squad Training Notice

Utah Lake State Park will be Hosting the Motor Squads of several local Law Enforcement Agencies. They will have multiple courses set up in the overflow lots that they will be using. Due to this the Overflow parking area will be closed to the public every second Wednesday of each month. If you need to get into Dry storage, or use the mast Crane during this time frame please talk with one of the Rangers. We will see what can be done to accommodate.

maintain a uniform thickness. Snow, wind, slush, temperature, and other factors can cause ice thickness and strength to vary greatly, even within inches. Recreate on the ice at your own risk and verify ice thickness as you head out.
