Huntington State Park

Current Conditions

Winter is here and temperatures are below freezing at night. The park is open year round. We still have the water turned on in the campground. The docks have been moved in preparations for the winter ice.

Camping reservations are strongly recommended and can be made through Reserve America. Reservations CANNOT be made through the State Park office phone line.  You can make reservations 4 months in advance, but not within 48 hours of your arrival.

All campsites are first come first serve. Starting April 1st campsites become available for reservations.
Day-Use: Open

Campground: Open
Water Temp:  Low 30s
Water Level: 95% Full
Fishing Conditions: Good
Ice thickness: Open water alone edges, ice is unsafe

Ice is Never 100% Safe! — Do not judge ice safety on thickness alone. Ice does not form or maintain a uniform thickness. Snow, wind, slush, temperature, and other factors can cause ice thickness and strength to vary greatly, even within inches. Recreate on ice at your own risk and verify ice thickness as you head out
