Military Appreciation Day

The Utah Division of State Parks is excited to announce that Military Appreciation Day will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026!

As part of the celebration, all Utah state parks will offer free day-use entrance for active military, veterans, and their families in the same vehicle. 

“Utah State Parks is honored to recognize the incredible contributions of our military personnel,” said Scott Strong, Director of the Utah Division of State Parks. “Setting aside this day to celebrate current and former service members expresses our immense gratitude. Their dedication and service is crucial in preserving the freedoms and security we all enjoy.”

Visiting a park in your local community is always a great choice, but experiencing a new park can bring a whole new element of fun. With so many unique state parks across Utah, there are multiple opportunities to get out there and explore.
