Internships & Seasonal Positions

Lost Creek State Park is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as seasonal park staff. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the park’s daily operations, maintenance, and visitor services while preserving its natural beauty.

Position: Seasonal Park Staff (Lead/Aid)

• Time Frame: April – November
• Housing: May be available

As a Seasonal Park Staff member, you will assist with various park operations, including maintaining facilities, ensuring visitor safety, and providing customer service. This position requires leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

Visitor Services:

• Greet visitors and provide park information.
• Assist with camper registration and handle monetary transactions.
• Ensure compliance with park rules and regulations.

Maintenance & Operations:

• Clean and maintain park facilities, including restrooms and picnic areas.
• Perform landscaping, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Operate heavy equipment and assist with pulling trailers for park needs.
• Set up and dismantle equipment for events or programs.

Customer Service:

• Interact with visitors in a friendly and informative manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service, maintenance, or outdoor recreation.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and pull trailers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for transactions and recordkeeping.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Schedule: Irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
