Join Utah State Parks for an unforgettable blend of outdoor escapes and eerie escapades. Whether you’re a nature lover, thrill-seeker, or simply someone who enjoys a good old-fashioned scare, we have something for everyone this Halloween. So, grab your costumes, gather your friends and family, and prepare for a ghoulishly good time!
Ghosts of Camp Floyd
October 28 — 6:00 PM
Join us for an exciting adventure at Camp Floyd as we delve into the mysteries of the supernatural! Are you curious if Camp Floyd is haunted? We invite you to be part of a thrilling paranormal investigation. To ensure an intimate experience, we’ve limited the number of participants to just 40.
Participants are encouraged to view the museums at Camp Floyd during daylight beginning at 6:00 PM, with the event starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 9:00 PM. Make sure to bring your own flashlights, recorders, cameras, and even digital and infrared cameras. Our friendly park staff will be on hand to guide you in using your equipment to spot paranormal phenomena like orbs, mists, and eerie sounds.
A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize you with paranormal investigating techniques and findings as the investigation starts. All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation and will have the opportunity to view photographs and other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site. Full Moon Hikes
October 27 & 28 — 7:00 PM
Come find out what goes bump in the night during a moonlit hike led by one of our rangers. The hike spans approximately one mile, and we’ll meet in front of the Visitor Center at 7:00 PM. We recommend wearing sturdy footwear for this experience.
Creepy Crawlers & Bat-tastic Talk
October 31 — 7:00 PM
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Join us in celebrating this spooky holiday by delving into the world of some of the park’s eerie inhabitants. First, explore the Creepy Crawlers session, held upstairs at the Visitor Center at 11:00 AM. Later in the day, don’t miss the Bat-tastic Talk taking place in front of the Visitor Center at 7:00 PM. All creatures are welcome at these spooktacular events!
Annual Fremont Fall Festival
October 27 & 28 — 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Join us for our annual fall festival! Enjoy fun family activities, hot cocoa, caramel apples, face painting, and our popular Haunted Hayride! Daylight hours are family-friendly, but be prepared to be spooked once the sun goes down! All are welcome! $2 per person. Ages five and under are free.
Bats
October 27 — 6:30 PM
Immerse yourself in the Halloween spirit as we delve into the fascinating world of nocturnal creatures! Join one of our rangers to discover various bat species you might encounter and explore their distinctive behaviors. Meet at the amphitheater.
Skulls and Bones!
October 30 — 1:00 PM
Join a ranger to learn about the spooky skulls and bones found in the park! Meet at Observation Point.
Full Moon Walk
October 28 — 6:00 PM
Join one of our park rangers for an evening stroll along Silver Sands Beach as they share captivating myths and legends of the Great Salt Lake. The walk commences at sunset, offering a unique opportunity to witness the moonrise and its reflection on the tranquil waters of the Great Salt Lake.
Event Details:
The tour is priced at $3 per person, plus the $5 day-use pass per vehicle for park entry. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Check-in Process:
Please check in at the Entrance Station with your event tickets. Meet at the Observation Deck located just beyond the Visitor’s Center. The walk covers approximately half a mile over relatively flat terrain but may include typical beach hazards.

Pre-registration is mandatory, as we can accommodate a maximum of 100 participants per tour. If you are not pre-registered, we cannot guarantee a spot on the tour. Registration opens precisely one month before the event date.

Location:
Meeting point: The observation point is just beyond the visitor center. The walk spans approximately half a mile over relatively flat terrain, with potential beach hazards. Please arrive punctually, as the gates close shortly after the walk begins.
What to Bring:
We recommend bringing flashlights, even though they will mostly remain off during the walk. It’s highly advisable to have bug spray and waterproof shoes on hand. Dress appropriately for the weather.
Important Notes:
This event may be canceled in case of cloudy or inclement weather. Please note that this event takes place at the Great Salt Lake Marina in Magna (Exit 104 off I-80), and not on Antelope Island.

Territorial Statehouse State Park Museum
Shadows of the Past Candlelight Tours
October 27-28
Join us for an enlightening journey through history at the historic Territorial Statehouse, where you’ll be guided solely by the gentle flicker of candles.
You can choose the Candlelight tour for just $1 per person, or opt for the comprehensive experience at $3 for children aged 2-11, $5 for those aged 12 and older, or $20 for the entire household.
Each room in the Statehouse unveils a unique history lesson, immersing you in the stories of the past. Beyond the Candlelight tours, the park offers a variety of activities, including a glow-in-the-dark ground maze, lawn bowling, captivating storytelling, and more, ensuring an enriching and entertaining adventure for visitors of all ages.
