What: Project Update for the campground in the Chalet area at Wasatch Mountain State Park
When: August 16, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Wasatch Mountain State Park Golf Course Clubhouse – 975 Golf Course Drive, Midway, UT 

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Division of State Parks will be hosting a project update regarding the proposed campground construction and tree removal at Wasatch Mountain State Park next Tuesday, August 16. The public is invited to attend. 

This project was put on hold in June following public concern regarding the tree removal. During this hold time, Utah State Parks has brought in an independent arborist company to evaluate the trees’ health; as well as the Utah Division of Risk Management to evaluate potential safety risks. Representatives from both the arborist and Risk Management will attend this meeting and present their findings. 

Members of the public are welcome to attend in person and will have the opportunity to voice their comments and ask questions following the presentations.  A live stream of the meeting will also be shared on the official Wasatch Mountain State Park Facebook page. Those watching via the live stream may also ask questions in the stream’s comments section. These questions will be responded to after the meeting by a park representative.
