RESERVATIONS POLICIES

Individual Campsite Reservations: Individual campsite reservations are accepted up to 16 weeks in advance from park departure date. If campsites are available, reservations can be made a minimum of two days in advance of arrival date. An $8 non-refundable reservation fee is charged for each site reserved. See when you can make your reservation.

Number of Sites: Customers may reserve up to three campsites per phone call or internet session at one park for the same date and time period. Parties requiring additional space are encouraged to reserve a group area.

Group Campsite Reservations: Group reservations are accepted up to 11 months in advance from park departure date. A $10.25 non-refundable fee is charged for group sites and building rentals. A minimum, non-refundable fee, will be charged at the time the reservation is made.

Security Deposits:  Parks may require a refundable security deposit for group areas, cabins and yurts.  The amount will vary depending on the park and amenities.  Please ask the reservation agent or contact the park for more information.

Length of Stay: Length of stay is limited to 14 days within any 30-day period. Jordanelle and Sand Hollow offer longer stays (with park permission).

Payment: Payment is required at the time a reservation is made. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover (or debit card with Visa or MasterCard logo). Please allow up to 24 hours after a credit card payment for your reservation to be confirmed.

Check-In, Check-Out: Check-in time is 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Wasatch Mountain State Park). Check-out time is 2 p.m. (12:00 noon at Dead Horse Point State Park, and at Cabins/Yurts).

No Show and Late Arrival: Campsites not occupied by 10 a.m. the day after the scheduled arrival date are forfeited and made available to other campers. Many parks do not allow access after 10 p.m. If you must arrive late, notify the park. No refunds are given for no shows or late arrivals.

Confirmation: A reservation confirmation letter, with campsite and campground information, arrival and departure dates, park rules, and reservation policies, is mailed to the address you provide.  The confirmation number on the letter will be used to reference your reservation if you need to cancel or make any changes.

Changes and Cancellations: Cancellations are accepted online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or by calling our Reservation Call Center Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Individual site cancellations made four days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival forfeit $13. Cancellations made less than four days in advance also forfeit one night's fee.
Group area cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of your scheduled arrival forfeit $15.25. Cancellations made less than 14 days in advance also forfeit one night's fee.
Changes to an existing reservation can only be made by contacting the Reservation Call Center. Changes can be made up to two days prior to your scheduled arrival date and incur a $5 change fee per site.

Refunds: Refunds are not given for bugs, bad weather or early departure. Refunds for cancelled reservations will be made by crediting that same card, minus applicable fees.

Emergency Closures: In the event of a natural emergency or sudden campground closure, all camping fees will be refunded.

Campsite Limits and Extra Vehicles: Unless otherwise noted on your confirmation, one camping unit and a maximum of eight people are allowed per campsite. A camping unit is one tent, one trailer or one camper. Only one vehicle is allowed per campsite. A vehicle and attached in-tow equipment is considered one vehicle. An additional vehicle, space permitting, will be charged half the camping fee per night, with any odd amounts being rounded to the next dollar. Campsites that are $10 per night will charge an extra vehicle the full $10.

Pets: Pets are welcome at most state parks. However, they must be on a maximum six-foot leash and never left unattended. Pets are not allowed in buildings, in cabins or yurts, on beaches, or in lakes or reservoirs. Please pick up after your pets. Pets are not allowed on the Frary Peak trail at Antelope Island State Park or at the Rock Cliff Recreation Area at Jordanelle State Park. Pets at Deer Creek State Park are limited to the campground only and are not allowed on beaches, in the water, or onboard boats.

Quiet Hours: 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Unreserved Campsites: All unreserved campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
