Resident Volunteer Opportunity – Red Rock Marina Currently Accepting Applications!
Echo State Park | Coalville, Utah
Spend your days along the water at beautiful Echo State Park as a Resident Volunteer in our Red Rock Marina Campground! This opportunity is perfect for individuals or couples looking to volunteer in a scenic lakeside setting, with potential for paid hours beyond the volunteer commitment.
Volunteer Commitment
- Minimum of 24 volunteer hours per week
- In exchange, volunteers receive a resident volunteer campsite located in the Red Rock Marina Campground
Primary Duties
- Opportunity to assist with operating the Ranger Station, including:
- Answering phone calls
- Handling monetary transactions
- Providing guest services and visitor information
- Supporting daily park operations
Additional Opportunities
- For duo applicants, there are opportunities to assist with maintenance and grounds work around the park
- Volunteers interested in gaining broader park experience are encouraged to apply
Paid Work Option
- Volunteers who wish to take on additional hours beyond the 24-hour requirement may be considered for paid shifts
- Typically includes gate or ranger station shifts
- Pay range: $13.43–$15.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Paid hours are not guaranteed but are often available during the season
Requirements
- Must be reliable, friendly, and comfortable working with the public
- Able to use basic computer systems and handle cash transactions
- Must be able to pass a background check

- Assisting with campground upkeep, including cleaning restrooms, campsites, and common areas.
- Offering guidance on park rules, regulations, and recreational opportunities.
- Acting as a friendly resource for visitors, answering questions, and ensuring a positive camping experience.
