Anasazi State Park Museum Closes for Exciting Renovation
December 19, 2023
BOULDER, Utah — Anasazi State Park Museum temporarily closed its doors on December 18, for a significant renovation, and is expected to reopen in July 2024.
During this temporary closure, future visitors can anticipate a revitalized museum featuring a refreshed appearance and state-of-the-art exhibits.
“Our goal is to provide a more immersive and enriching experience for history enthusiasts and first-time visitors alike,” Anasazi State Park Museum Manager Jamie Skidmore said.
While the closure may briefly dim the spotlight on the cultural gem, The Division of State Parks believes that improving existing state park infrastructure and expanding amenities is essential to meeting increased demands and energizing local economies.
Visitors to state parks often stay at local hotels, eat at restaurants, and frequent stores and gas stations. The improvement and expansion of park amenities also create jobs for contractors, park staff, private concessionaires, and more.
The park will share updates on the renovation on its webpage and Facebook page. The public is encouraged to follow along with the updates and ask any questions that may arise.
As the countdown begins to the grand reopening and the community eagerly awaits the unveiling, the Anasazi State Park Museum team is gearing up for a new chapter in the cultural tapestry of Boulder, Utah.
