Nature Journaling – EKO Adventure Challenge

Park Ranger led journaling activities will help you get started nature journaling or deepen your practice. Experience how a couple hours of focused attention can strengthen your nature connection.  Program designed for all experience levels. Supplies provided.

Bird Walk
EKO Adventure Challenge

8am – 11am

Join a park ranger on a guided morning walk at the South Marina to discover the incredible birdlife that calls Willard Bay home. Whether you are an experienced birder with a life list or someone just looking to learn a few common species, this walk is a perfect way to start your day. We’ll talk about identification tips, and keep our eyes peeled for visitors like pelicans, herons, and egrets. 

Bring binoculars if you have them, insect repellant, water and snacks. Wear weather – appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

Nature Journaling – Seeds
EKO Adventure Challenge

12pm – 2pm

Explore with a park ranger and discover the many shapes, sizes, and colors of seeds at Willard Bay and learn some fun ways to record your observations.

This program is open to all skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned naturalist or picking up a journal for the first time, come prepared to slow down, look closer, and get curious about the wonder happening at your feet.
