Hyrum State Park is best known for its fishery, being a terrific year-round fishing destination for bass, trout, perch, and bluegill. In the summer the Park has an excellent beach and provides opportunities for boating and other water sports. The Park has one boat ramp and a fish cleaning station located at the main entrance.

We have 32 campsites, two cabins, and one large group site. Hyrum State Park is a great base camp for activities in and outside of the Park. There are many hiking, biking, and OHV trails nearby. We are located roughly 10 minutes from downtown Logan which allows for a short commute to local amenities and events.

As one of the first State Parks opened to the public for recreation in 1959, for over 65 years Hyrum State Park has and will continue to provide wholesome recreation opportunities and great customer service to our guests. 

Park Information

Our day use areas are open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please ensure to display a valid park pass while in the park. If no gate attendant is at the entrance station a self-pay option is available. Annual passes may be purchased online at parkspass.utah.gov

Currently, the boat ramp is open, the courtesy docks have been pulled for the season. The fish cleaning station and the traditional restrooms & showers have been winterized for the season. A dry vault restroom is available. For weekly Park updates visit our current conditions page.

Campsites are available first come first served payable via self-pay envelope upon entry. For summer camping reservations beginning on May 1, please visit reserveamerica.com or call 800-322-3770. Reservations must be made 2+ days in advance.

Watercrafts that have been in Lake Powell or out of the state in the previous 30 days must be inspected before entering Hyrum Reservoir.
