Celebrate Utah: Goblin Valley State Park

(KUTV) It’s been said life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Taking a breathtaking look at the sunrise over the Three Sisters formation could be one of those moments.

Road Trippin’ 2016 begins in a wonderfully strange and colorful valley, unlike any other in Utah.

Goblin Valley located in south central Utah is home to Goblins or hoodoo’s, which are a concentration of sandstone that formed on top of silt stone or shell and the silt stone shell erodes more quickly than the sand stone. The end result is spires that poke up out of the ground.

But how did they get the name “goblins”?
