Fremont Indian State Park Museum Closing for Construction, Improvements
SEVIER, Utah — Fremont Indian State Park will temporarily close its main building beginning May 1, 2025, to accommodate upcoming construction work.
The construction is expected to expand and improve upon the existing museum, and will include enhancements and new additions to the exhibits, graphics, artifacts and more.
“We are so excited get started on these improvements,” Fremont Indian State Park Manager
Elizabeth Nagengast-Stevens said. “This museum is such an important place for so many. We ask our visitors to please be patient with us during this process, and we look forward to sharing our new and improved museum with you all.”
Construction is set to be completed in 2026, with a grand opening celebration to follow. The park will be sharing updates as they happen on its website and social media channels.
The remainder of the outdoor sections of Fremont Indian State Park will remain open and accessible as usual. Visitors can ask questions, pay day-use charges, purchase maps, and more from the trailer located in the main parking lot.
To help make room and reduce existing stock, the park’s gift shop is also offering 35% off items and jewelry. Consignment art and already discounted items are not included.
