Echo State Park offers a variety of overnight accommodations, whether you’re looking for a campsite, cozy lake cottage or a scenic group camping area. With beautiful views and convenient amenities, Echo provides a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Overnight Options

3 Campgrounds: Dry Hollow, Red Rock Marina and Group Camp
5 Lake Cottages: Located in the Red Rock Marina Campground. One is ADA Accessible.
Beach Camping: Available during certain times of the year based on reservoir conditions.

Reservations Required for ALL campsites and cottages from May-September: From May 1 – September 30, all campsites and cottages require reservations, which can be made through Reserve America.

First-Come, First-Served (October-April Only): From October 1 – April 30, Dry Hollow Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, though the water and main restrooms are shut down for the season.

Cottages

Standard Cottages

Our standard cottages are the ideal choice for guests seeking a comfortable, well-equipped home away from home. Each unit is thoughtfully designed to accommodate your needs and create a relaxing environment for your stay.

• Bedding Options: Each standard cottage includes a queen bedroom, a loft with two twin beds and a fold-out couch for added flexibility. Non-ADA units also feature a bunk bed room, perfect for families or groups. Please note that guests are required to bring their own bedding, including sheets, blankets, pillows and towels.
• Climate Control: Enjoy a comfortable stay throughout the year with heating and air conditioning, ensuring the perfect temperature in any season.
• Bathroom & Showers: Each cottage comes with a private bathroom and a refreshing shower, offering both privacy and convenience during your stay.
• Kitchenette: For your convenience, the cottages are equipped with a full-size refrigerator and microwave, perfect for storing and preparing simple meals. No cooktop or stove is available, so please plan meals accordingly.
• Outdoor Space: Each standard cottage features a front porch, complete with a grill, where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the stunning lakeside views. A fire pit is located right in front of the building, offering the perfect spot for evening relaxation. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the surrounding beauty.

Disclaimer: RVs, campers and trailers are not permitted to park or set up between cottages at Echo State Park. The spacing between utilities and cottages is too limited to allow for safe or appropriate parking, even if the unit is not in use.

Additionally, utility connections in this area are dedicated solely to the cottages and are not equipped to support camping units.

ADA-Accessible Cottage

With all the amenities of our standard cottages, plus special accessibility features, this unit provides the perfect space for everyone to enjoy their time at the park.

• Accessibility Features: The ADA-accessible cottage features a specially designed entrance, as well as a bathroom with accessible fixtures to ensure ease of use for all guests.
• Climate Control: Just like our standard cottages, this unit is equipped with heating and air conditioning, providing comfort throughout your stay, no matter the weather.
• Bathroom & Showers: The accessible bathroom ensures a smooth and comfortable experience with a shower that meets accessibility standards.
• Kitchenette: Guests can enjoy the convenience of a full-size refrigerator and microwave for storing food and preparing simple meals. No cooktop or stove is available, so please plan meals accordingly.
• Outdoor Space: The accessible cottage features a front porch with a grill and a fire pit right in front of the building, perfect for enjoying the natural beauty of Echo State Park. It’s the ideal place to unwind after a day of adventure or to relax and take in the lakeside views.

Dry Hollow Campground

Nestled along the shores of Echo Reservoir, Dry Hollow Campground provides a scenic and well-equipped camping experience for both RV and tent campers. With modern amenities and beautiful surroundings, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway.

Campsite Amenities

Each campsite is equipped with water and 20/30/50 amp power hookups, but there are no sewer connections. Sites also include a picnic shelter, table, and fire ring for added convenience. A restroom with showers is available within the campground but is closed during the winter months. Vault restrooms remain accessible year-round.

Check-In, Check-Out Times: Check-in time is 3 p.m., and check-out time is 11 a.m.

Reservations and Availability

Reservations Required: From May 1 through September 30, campsites require advanced reservations, which can be made up to four months in advance through Reserve America.

First-Come, First-Served (October-April Only): Between October 1 and April 30, sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Seasonal Updates

During the winter season (October – April), water is turned off at all campsites, and the main restroom with showers is closed. Vault restrooms remain open for visitor use. Campers should prepare accordingly for winter conditions.

Group Camp

The Group Camp at Echo State Park, located within the Dry Hollow Campground, is the perfect spot for larger gatherings, such as family reunions, retreats or special events. With spacious tent areas and a scenic setting, the Group Camp provides ample space for outdoor activities and relaxation. It offers a unique, rustic camping experience with convenient amenities for larger groups to enjoy.

Campsite Amenities

The Group Camp features one large and two small pavilions with picnic tables and grills, making it ideal for outdoor meals and group activities. A large grass area is available for tent camping and five partial hook-up spots are located around the space. The site also includes vault toilets nearby, but the main restrooms and showers are a short walk away. The campground provides a comfortable environment for tent or rv camping but does not have full hookups.

The Group Camp is available by reservation only through Reserve America. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance. Early booking is recommended, especially during peak seasons.

Red Rock Marina Campground

Red Rock Marina Campground at Echo State Park offers a convenient and well-maintained location for campers seeking a comfortable stay by the water. With its five full-hookup campsites and lake cottages, this campground is perfect for RV travelers and those looking for a cozy cabin experience, all while enjoying the stunning views of Echo Reservoir.

Campsite Amenities

The campground features five full-hookup campsites, each equipped with water, 20/30/50 amp power, and sewer hookups. Every site includes a picnic table and fire ring for a relaxing outdoor experience. Additionally, 5 lake cottages are available within the campground. These cottages offer a comfortable stay and are available for reservations year-round. Restrooms with showers are located nearby for your convenience.

Beach Camping

Sleep under the stars beside the water! Echo State Park offers primitive beach camping along the picturesque shoreline of Echo Reservoir. This unique camping experience is perfect for tent campers looking to enjoy nature up close with unbeatable lake views and direct access to the water.

Seasonal Availability

Beach camping is only available during certain times of the year based on reservoir conditions. Typically opens in July, or once lake levels drop to around 80% capacity. Closes in October or earlier depending on weather and lake levels. To check current availability, please call the park office before your visit.

Camping Details

$25 per night, which includes:

• One (1) vehicle
• Up to eight (8) people

Camping permits: A camping permit is required and can be obtained from:

• The gate staff during regular entry hours
• The on-duty camp host after hours
• Permits are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Please have your license plate number ready.

What to Expect

• Beach camping is primitive and undeveloped
• No water or electrical hookups
• No fires are allowed
• Tent, vehicle or small self-contained camping units only — the ground in many areas is too soft for large trailers or RVs
• Some beach sites may be hike-in only
• Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Leave No Trace: Pack out all trash and supplies
• Some areas may allow vehicles to park directly at the site, depending on ground conditions. Please check with the gate staff or host upon arrival.

Camper Amenities

• Restrooms are available in nearby campground and day-use areas for registered campers
• Additional vehicles must pay a separate day-use or camping fee
