Flight Park State Recreation Area

Current Conditions

Last Updated: November 18, 2024

Flight Park will be hosting the Intermountain Silent Fliers on August 31 and September 1, 2024. They will have exclusive use of the park on these days and as such, pilots that are not part of the Intermountain Silent Fliers event will not be able to utilize the Flight Park for Business or Recreation during that time. UHGPGA has been notified and agrees to this temporary closure.

Day-Use: Open 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Current Conditions:  Please stay on existing roads.  Roads on the park’s west end are closed because of private property.  All ATV use is prohibited in the park.

Camping:  The campground is open.  There are 14 primitive sites (no hookups) available on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Camping is $ 15/night (self-pay through credit card or cash).  Park is open to camping on the top of the park only where the sites are marked. Most sites are back-in sites with room to park your vehicle next to your trailer/camp unit.  14-day stay limit within a 30-day period.  Open fires are prohibited.  Please clean up after your stay and pack out what you bring in.  The First 16 campsites are going to be under construction and unusable after April 28.

During winter months, drifting snow occurs. This could block off access to the top of the park.  There is no equipment located at the park to clear this area so please be advised.
