Originally restored and opened in 2017 as part of a joint project between Utah State Parks, Piute County, and Garfield County, Butch Cassidy’s Boyhood Home is a popular tourist attraction that draws visitors from all over the world.
This historic home was once the residence of the notorious outlaw, Butch Cassidy, also known as Robert LeRoy Parker.
In 2024, the Utah State Legislature passed a resolution designating the area as a State Monument within Utah State Parks.
The area includes access to the historic home, era farm equipment, interpretive signage, and a picnic area.
The area is also adjacent to the popular Paiute Trail system.
