Pen Pal with a Park Ranger

Join in on some good old-fashioned snail mail fun with the “Pen Pal with a Park Ranger” program! This program allows families, groups, classrooms, and individuals to write a park ranger here at Sand Hollow State Park.  This opportunity is designed to be flexible, suitable and fun for people of all ages and abilities!

How to Participate:

  1. Write a letter including your name, age, and state/country
  2. You may also include interests, questions, or specific things you want to learn about the park or local area
  3. Address the letter to Park Ranger at Sand Hollow State Park
  4. Mail it to: 3351 S. Sand Hollow Rd, Hurricane UT 84737
  5. Please include a self addressed and stamped envelope

A ranger will read your letter and send one back to you within a couple of weeks.  Please keep in mind that this may vary based on mailing times.  If one does not arrive within the time frame, you may call our office at 435.680.0715 to ask about the status of your letter.
