Because of the popularity of this program\, four sessions will be conducted this year with each date limited to 40 participants.  \nParticipants are encouraged to view the museums at Camp Floyd during daylight beginning at 6 pm\, with the event starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 9:00 PM.  \nParticipants are encouraged to bring their own flashlights\, recorders\, cameras\, digital and infrared cameras where park staff will assist participants in the use of their equipment in finding paranormal orbs\, mists and sounds. A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize participants with paranormal investigating techniques and findings as the investigation starts. All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation and will have the opportunity of viewing photographs along with other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site.  \nAdmission fees are $10 per person and reservations are required. SUMMARY:Bison Auction
DESCRIPTION:The manageable herd size for bison on the island is between around 500-550 bison\, and each year there are between 100-200 calves born into the herd. With no natural predators on the island capable of taking down a bison\, it is necessary to artificially reduce the herd size to balance out the food supply.\nBy selling excess bison at a public auction\, park staff are able to keep the herd within a number the habitat can support. Ideally\, the plan calls for a herd size of about 550 bison. This will be an online auction. Contact bwmorris@utah.gov with any questions.\nAuction link will be posted closer to event date.

DESCRIPTION:Join us from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Camp Floyd State Park to see how the soldiers of Camp Floyd celebrated the winter holidays with soldiers throughout the park. Tour the Commissary and the Inn while you are here seeing the park’s Holiday decorations. Don’t forget to visit with Santa Clause from 12:00 and 4:00 PM but be wary that the Grinch may steal what you have.  \nFood will be available at for purchase at Beefsteak’s Bistro.
