Officials Search for Man at Gunlock State Park

GUNLOCK STATE PARK — Officials are searching for a man at Gunlock State Park after an incident in the waterfall area.

Emergency crews responded to Gunlock State Park Friday afternoon after receiving reports that man in his 30’s had been jumping from the top of the waterfalls into the water. At one point after jumping, the man failed to resurface from the water below and witnesses called for help.

Utah State Parks Rangers, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Search and Rescue, and Bureau of Land Management law enforcement have responded to the scene to assist in the search.

This incident remains under investigation at this time.
