Bridge Construction Impact on Starvation State Park

(UDOT) DUCHESNE — On October 29, 2018, the Utah Department of Transportation began work to replace the existing Strawberry River Bridge on S.R. 311. Following the completion of the bridge replacement, crews will repave the roadway from US-40 to Starvation State Park.

Crews are scheduled to begin work to widen the bridge approaches. Some lane restrictions and one-way signal or flagging operations may be in place to accommodate work. This work is anticipated to be underway for a month.

Bridge replacement work is anticipated to begin in early December and continue through March 2019. While crews replace the bridge, S.R. 311 will be restricted to one lane at the active bridge work area. Residents and motorists driving to Starvation State Park should anticipate delays and expect one-way flagging or signal operations.

Once the bridge replacement is complete, crews will repave S.R. 311 from US-40 to the Starvation State Park Beach Campground intersection. Work to repave S.R. 311 is scheduled to begin spring 2019.
