Join A Real Paleontological Dig This Summer!

Fossil Field School 2016

The Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum is offering a Fossil Field School from June 19 – 23, 2017.

This expedition is the experience of a lifetime!  Be aware that this dig and expedition is the REAL DEAL and not for the timid.

Travel with staff paleontologists and historians for five days to five different types of fossil sites. This trip will allow you to step into the shoes of a modern-day paleontologist.

On the trip, you will help staff:

  • Uncover 150 million year old dinosaur bones.
  • Look for 50 million year old mammal and crocodile remains.
  • Unearth beautiful plant fossils.
  • Identify ancient insects.
  • Maybe even discover a new species!
This is a real field expedition in raw conditions helping staff add to museum collections.

The cost of the expedition is $500 for five unforgettable days.
