ROCKIN' UTAH - CHILDREN IN NATURE
Why is Rockin' Utah important?
The amount of time our children spend in nature is rapidly diminishing. Did you know that today's youth spend just four to seven minutes outside each day in unstructured outdoor play such as climbing trees, building forts, riding bikes, catching bugs or playing tag. However, they spend more than seven hours each day in front of a television or computer screen!
Unfortunately, this lack of play tends to leave our kids out of shape, tuned out and stressed out, and the same goes for adults. We want to reverse this trend. Check the links above for more about child obesity and nature deficit syndrome.
