Osprey

In 2007 Starvation State Park had at least three breeding pairs of osprey. The closet pair was on the east side of the dam. Moon Lake Electric, and Starvation State Park Rangers placed Poles around the Reservoir for the Osprey's to use. If you go to the east side of the dam, park on top and then walk along the mesa on the south side of the road. You might get to see a pair of osprey and their young.

Currently have 4 nesting pairs at Starvation State Park. Come see this magnificent bird.
