Skiing, Wake boarding and more
Skiing and wakeboarding are popular at Starvation. The best times are early and just before sunset. Winds are normal here, however at these times the winds can be quite and the water like glass.
Jet Skiing
PWC (personal water Craft) are also popular vessel to Play on. PWCs include jet skis, sea doos, wave runners, etc. PWCs usually fit 1-3 people. They move side to side very quickly and are a lot of fun. You can jump waves and go very fast. Some of our visitors even ski behind them. To ski, the PWC has to be rated for 3 people; you need the driver, an observer and a skier.
SAFETY
We want everyone to go home when with great memories, of having fun and PLAYing together. To help this occur we have safety rules. Please remember to PLAY by these rules when on the water.
- If you are 12 years old and younger you must wear a PFD (personal floatation device), a lifejacket.
- If you are on a PWC you must wear a PFD.
- Every boat must have a lifejacket for everyone on board.
- Skiers need an observer 8 years old or older and a ski flag.
- All boats going fast enough to create waves, must stay 150 feet from other boats, people, fisherman, swimmers and others PLAYing on, in or near the water.
