Experience the History of Camp Floyd
Take a step into the past and experience the history of the Utah War and Camp Floyd through media and artifacts. The story of the soldiers stationed at Camp Floyd and the citizens of Utah is briefly presented through a ten-minute film, historic photographs, media presentations, and original artifacts. Learn about one of the most important events and places affecting the early years of the Civil War.
Daily Activities
Scout Patch Program
Scouts of all ages and genders are invited to participate in Camp Floyd / Stagecoach Inn State Park and Museum Scout Patch Program. Scouts may earn the patch anytime while visiting the park with their family, friends or scout group.
Junior Pony Express Program
Camp Floyd offers fun and educational programs geared towards children age's six to 12. Pick up a Junior Ranger Manual when arriving at the park or download one here. Once the book is completed and signed off by park staff, you become an official Junior Ranger and receive a badge!

Geocache Treasure Hunt
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt using a global positioning satellite (GPS) unit. Camp Floyd State Park is hosting a geocache treasure hunt in locating various sites within in the park of various historical interests. The event is held during the last couple of weeks of March. Visitors who complete the treasure hunt will be awarded with a special prize, while supplies last. Participants are encouraged to bring their own GPS units. However, a GPS unit with instructions will be available if needed. Park staff will be on hand to assist with the GPS coordinates. Participants will be given the coordinates to the first cache and each subsequent cache will provide the next coordinates. The geocache treasure hunt is included with paid admission of $2 per person, or $6 per family. Food concession will be available to purchase at the event.
Civil War Encampment
Camp Floyd State Park in conjunction with the Utah Territorial Civilian Commission and Utah Civil War Association are hosting a Civil War Encampment every Memorial Day Weekend at Camp Floyd State Park. The event will allow visitors to experience camp life and participate in several activities performed by soldiers of Johnston's Army. Events include reenactments, encampments, storytelling, stagecoach rides, firearm and cannon demonstrations, marches, drills, 1861 period games, and photos in period uniform. The events and activities will be conducted between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Monday. All activities are free of charge unless otherwise indicated. Standard museum entrance fees of $2 per person or $6 per family still apply. Food concession will be available to purchase at the event.

Ghosts of Camp Floyd
Is Camp Floyd haunted? The public is invited to participate in a paranormal investigation of Camp Floyd on the last October Saturday before Halloween. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own tape recorders, film, digital and infrared cameras where park staff will assist participants in the use of their equipment in finding paranormal orbs, mists and sounds. A brief presentation will be conducted to familiarize visitors with ghost hunting techniques before the investigation starts. Park staff has conducted two investigations of paranormal activity at Camp Floyd and will also present their findings at that time. They gathered evidence using sound recordings, digital and film cameras. Visitors will have the opportunity of hearing recordings, see photographs and view other paranormal evidence gathered at this historic site. All participants will be invited to present their findings at the conclusion of the investigation. Visitors are encouraged to view the museums at Camp Floyd prior to the event and the admission fees for the event are $5 per person.
