Adventure Camp Information

Thank you for requesting information on Camp Floyd State Park's "Johnston's Army Adventure Camp." This camp is specifically created for Boy Scouts and will be held on Fridays, beginning at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 12:00 noon the following day. The program is a fun-filled learning experience with many hands-on activities that will fulfill the requirements for the American Heritage Merit Badge and the National Historic Trails Award. We look forward to confirming your reservation for this entertaining educational experience.

This two-day program includes an overnight stay with sleeping accommodations in recreated military tents. Participants will need to provide their own sleeping gear. Breakfast and snacks for breaks will be provided.

Reservations are required and can be made over the phone or in person with full payment of the registration fee. The original forms must be received by mail or in person no later than a month after the reservation is made. If forms are not received by that time, the spots will be open to groups on the waiting list. There will be no refunds. Substitutions can be made up to the day prior to camp, but no later.

The application, permission sheet, medical history and photo release forms must be completed for each participant. Print the Adventure Camp Application and mail them to the park. Enrollment cannot be confirmed until we receive these forms with the registration fee. ($15 per boy, $12 per adult) You will receive a confirmation letter upon enrollment. The camp size is limited to 30 participants. Boy Scouts will need to have adult supervision at all times.
