Antelope Island State Park

For Educators

Antelope Island State Park is a great resource for educational tours and is the best location to experience the wonders of Great Salt Lake. The island's many resources offer a great outdoor classroom to conduct different experiments with students. For a formal tour, educators may contact the visitor center or the ranch.

The visitor center tour offers students an environmental education program with the park naturalist, a viewing of Into a World of Wonder film and a questionnaire scavenger hunt. For more information on this tour, please contact the park naturalist Crystal Carpenter at (801) 721-9569 or crystalcarpenter@utah.gov.

The Fielding Garr Ranch offers teacher-guided activity boxes. The boxes focus on activities conducted by the human inhabitants throughout Antelope Island's history and prehistory. Formal staff-guided tours of the facilities are available upon request. For more information, please contact the museum curator Clay Shelley at (801) 649-5742 or clayshelley@utah.gov.
