Walk in the Park: Sunset Hike with Naturalist (May 23, 2008 - May 23, 2008)
Great Salt Lake is known for having beautiful, picturesque sunsets. Join the park naturalist for a sunset 4-mile hike along Lakeside trail and donâÂÂt forget your camera. This event requires pre-registration by 21st of May. To register or for more information, please call (801) 721-9569.
Walk in the Park: Geocache with a Naturalist (May 24, 2008 - May 24, 2008)
Join the park naturalist on an earth geocache adventure. Participants should remember to bring food, water, sturdy shoes, bug spray, sunscreen and a GPS unit. This event requires pre-registration by 21st of May. To register or for more information, please call (801) 721-9569.
Memorial Weekend Activities (May 24, 2008 - May 24, 2008)
Join us in celebrating Memorial Day weekend at one of Utah’s earliest ranches, the historic Fielding Garr Ranch. Learn how the people of Antelope Island lived. Learn to make pioneer handkerchief dolls, pick up a needle and quilt. Dip candles and make a pioneer lantern. Learn pioneer games such as farm ball and race your family in a sack race. Participants will need to bring an empty vegetable or soup can to make their own pioneer lantern.

Star Party (June 07, 2008 - June 07, 2008)
Join Ogden Astronomical Society and Weber State University for an evening under the stars. Participants can expect to enjoy beautiful celestial views (weather permitting), and stellar conversation with local astronomers. Jr. Ranger Program (June 14, 2008 - June 14, 2008)
Join the park naturalist for a closer look into the aquatic life in Great Salt Lake, Jr. Rangers will investigate all life found under a microscope. Participants should meet at the Marina at 10 a.m. and be prepared to wade in the water. This activity is intended for children ages 6-12, however all ages are welcome. Walk in the Park: Hike with a Naturalist (June 21, 2008 - June 21, 2008)
Join the park naturalist on a hike along the backcountry of Antelope Island State Park and a discussion on the Pronghorn found in the Park. This is a moderate 8-mile hike along White Rock Bay Loop trail. Participants should meet at White Rock Bay trailhead at 9 a.m. bring plenty of water, sunscreen and sturdy shoes. With the largest portion of Earth's biomass comprised of insects, there is still much to be discovered about them. Many still remain extremely mysterious. Join the park naturalist for a tour into the lives of insects found with Antelope Island State Park. Walk in the Park: Night Hike with a Naturalist (July 04, 2008 - July 04, 2008)
Join the park naturalist on a night hike to the top of Beacon Knob. This is a moderately difficult 7-mile hike with an estimated time of 4 hours. Once up top, enjoy the sunset followed by various fireworks displays from a distance and avoid the traffic jams on your return home. Reptiles and Amphibians of Antelope Island State Park (July 05, 2008 - July 05, 2008)

Walk in the Park: Hike with Naturalist (July 06, 2008 - July 06, 2008)
Antelope Island State Parkâs geological formations span from the Precambrian to Holocene Period covering billions of years. Join the park naturalist for a closer look at the geology of Antelope Island State Park. This is a steep 2 ½ mile hike with moderate difficulty rating.
