The journey to Anasazi State Park Museum in Boulder, Utah is nearly as spectacular as the museum collections. Scenic Byway 12 is perhaps one of the most scenic drives in the West, winding 122 miles through Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, over Boulder Mountain within the Dixie National Forest, to the entrance of Capitol Reef National Park.
There are many things to do and see in the area. Within a short drive of Boulder, you can visit Calf Creek Falls, Hell's Backbone, Circle Cliffs, Boulder Mountain, the Burr Trail, Hole-in-the-Rock, Escalante and Kodachrome Basin state parks. Anasazi State Park Museum is located 77 miles from Bryce Canyon National Park and 50 miles from Capitol Reef National Park.
