UTAH STATE PARKS ICE FISHING TOURNAMENTS
Grab your auger, pole, and fishing license and head to one of several state park ice fishing tournaments!
Starvation State Park hosts its first annual ice fishing tournament Saturday, February 11. Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. at the Rabbit Gulch Campground and the tournament is held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Anglers may enter either one rainbow or brown trout. Prizes are awarded for the three largest trout, and all participants are eligible for random prizes. This tournament is limited to 200 anglers. Registration fees are $15 for adults and $10 for youth 16 and younger.

Hyrum State Park hosts an ice fishing tournament Saturday, February 18. Check-in begins at 6 a.m. and the tournament is held
from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Prizes are awarded for the four largest trout, biggest fish caught every hour, and all participants are eligible for random prizes. This tournament is limited to 200 anglers. Registration fee is $60.

Rockport State Park is working with local businesses to host the first annual Rafter B Tagged Fish Challenge. It's easy to play, just go fish! No registration is needed.
Rockport Reservoir is currently stocked with 40 tagged rainbow trout, with more to be added during the next few months. If you
catch a tagge
d fish, take your tag to Rafter B convenience store and fuel center at 2246 South State Road 32 in Wanship. They'll tell you what you've won and how to redeem your prize.
Challenge begins at 6 a.m. Sunday, January 1, 2012 and ends at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012.
