ROCKPORT STATE PARK
Winter has come to Rockport and the lake is froze over. The ice is 12" thick. Ice fishing has been great with reports of 25 fish days. ATV and snowmobiles are allowed on the lake but must be launched from the boat ramp. Move around as one day the west side is hot, another day the east side is hot, etc. If you are not catching fish in one location dramatically change locations and you may find fish. We are hosting the Rafter B Tagged Fish Challenge this winter with $10000 worth of prizes. 7 more fish have been tagged and put into the lake, making a total of 40 tagged fish with more to come! Due to safety concerns, do not park on the west side of Hwy 32. Please use the pullouts or enter the park. The boat ramp is plowed for easy access to the lake. For more information visit http://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/rockport/rafterbfishchallenge. Send us your fish photos to put up on our new "Bragging Boards". Send photos to: Rockport State Park 9040 N. Hwy 302 Peoa UT 84061 or to josephdonnell@utah.gov
Juniper and Riverside Campgrounds are closed. Other campgrounds will remain open all winter. Twin Coves, Crandall, and Cottonwood campground fees are $10 per night per vehicle.
Yurt rentals are available year-round through the park concessionaire. Call 435-783-9283 or 435-645-7533.
